Affordable Central Texas has a talented and dedicated staff focused on providing affordability to greater Austin.

David Steinwedell – President and CEO

David Steinwedell is President and CEO of Affordable Central Texas. David has over 35 years of national real estate experience across all property types and has led professional teams in acquisitions, asset management, debt and property management.  He has worked at fund advisors, REITs and in real estate investment banking. David is a graduate of Hamilton College and has served on the boards of NAREIM and the Tritt Foundation. David and his wife, Patty, reside in Austin and have raised three children in the city.

Scott Bolding – CFO/COO

Scott has 30+ years of accounting and finance experience.  He began his career in public accounting and has spent the last 15 years in industry.  He has served as Controller or CFO in a wide variety of industries including real estate, construction, oil and gas, and wealth management.  Most recently he served as the Director of Finance and Operations for WhiteGlove Health.  Scott and his wife, Lori, are Austin residents since 1992.

Yael Ouzillou – Consultant Capital Raise

Yael Ouzillou is the Capital Raise consultant for Affordable Central Texas. She has over 20 years experience creating and implementing people centered fundraising strategies in mission driven organizations. Yael has worked in non-profits, political campaigns, associations and as a consultant. After graduating from the University of Texas, Yael’s career took her to Washington, DC for eight years. Yael and her husband moved back to Austin 14 years ago where they’re raising two children.

Amy Barbee – Vice President Capital Raise

Amy Barbee has over 27 years of executive director experience serving various non-profits including founding executive director of the Real Estate Council of Austin, executive director of the LBJ Foundation and executive director of the Texas Cultural Trust.  She has extensive experience in donor relations, fund development, political and community outreach and strategic marketing.  After graduating from Northwestern University, Amy worked in the film industry in Los Angeles as a production coordinator on hit films including “The Blues Brothers” and “National Lampoon’s Vacation”.  Returning to her hometown of Austin in the late 80’s, Amy launched her career in executive management and fundraising while raising twins.

Laura Hernandez – Investor Relations

Laura Hernandez is providing investor relation support to ACT. In addition to working with ACT, she currently serves in Mayor Steve Adler’s administration and works on community engagement and various policy initiatives. Laura has extensive background in partisan and nonpartisan fundraising and community organizing. Laura’s experience represents thirteen years in the political, government and philanthropic sectors, working closely with candidates and elected officials to raise awareness about the issues they care about. Laura graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s in political communication, is a born and raised Texan, and has lived in Austin for thirteen years.

Dennis Artischev – Analyst

Dennis is providing analytical support for acquisitions and portfolio management to ACT. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2016 where he spent his last year working for a commercial brokerage firm. He then returned to Austin to pursue a career in commercial real estate. Dennis graduated from Westlake High School in 2012.

Maggie Maldonado – Accounting

Maggie Maldonado is providing accounting support to ACT. She has over 20 years of varied accounting experience.  Maggie has led a diverse professional life, having worked in a variety of office settings including non-profit organizations, real estate management, telecommunications, e-commerce, restaurant management and is very familiar with both corporate, start-up and small business life.

ACT is overseen by a six-person board of directors who provide strategic direction as well as investment and affordable housing insights for both ACT and the Austin Housing Conservancy.
